In 2018 C2DH conceived the project "Éischte Weltkrich: Remembering the Great War in Luxembourg". The aim of the project is to recall an important but neglected historical period of the country. With the support of the Ministry of State and the collections of the major Luxembourg museums, archives and cultural institutions, the project has gradually expanded and deepened its purpose, becoming an engaging digital resource.
The site, designed by Studio Calibro, allows the exploration of the collection of documents through different modes: a thematic/story-driven, a digital archive, an interactive map and a timeline.
This project was one of the first collaborations between Studio Calibro and INMAGIK for the realization of virtual exhibitions on the web based on multimedia documentary collections.
INMAGIK dealt with several aspects of the project, including:
Catalogue: digital archive with which you can search and view various documents through multimedia players developed specifically for the project.
Map: Georeferenced interactive map with which to search and explore the places that have been touched by the war.
